| Sawn from carefully selected timber, The Flooring Mill picks particular boards to meet its strict standard of heartwood grading. We mill our flooring into tongue and groove, ship lap, or square edge, depending on width and customer specifications. For a stable and long lasting floor, it is essential that the lumber be properly dried and acclimated to its environment prior to instillation. First air dried, then kiln dried to a moisture content between 6% and 8%, this process makes certain the boards dry slowly in a controlled environment to produce flat, stress free lumber. Lastly, the flooring is stickered in the space where it is to be installed for a final acclimation period. |

HARDWOOD
|
For a durable and formal look we offer wide plank flooring in the traditional hardwoods. Our Hardwood is milled from top grade lumber, and is properly kiln dried to make certain there is minimal shrinkage. All hardwood flooring is milled perfectly straight and flat for easy installation and has a stress relieved bottom.
Our Clear Grade premium boards are milled from top grade FAS clear lumber. Choose this clear grade for a more formal looking floor. These boards do not contain knots, just the beauty of the heartwood. Our Country Grade has character and shows a few well placed solid small knots, mineral streaks, and color variations. Our Rustic Grade floors have the wide plank country look of Pine, yet with the long lasting durability of a traditional hardwood. |

 |
Helpful Tips:
